Botox® Cosmetic

Simple injections of BOTOX® Cosmetic will improve fine lines and wrinkles without surgery and without scars.

Botox is an injectable. Botox temporarily improves dynamic wrinkles due to extreme facial expressions.

Botox is used for:

  • Squint lines pr crow’s feet at the corners of the eyes
  • Horizontal forehead lines
  • Platysma muscle bands (vertical lines) often visible on the neck
  • Lower facial muscles, jawline, wrinkles around mouth and chin.

Botox lasts, on average, 4-6 months or more if 1st users. If done regularly, Botox lasts longer.

Botox can also prevent early signs of aging.

Botox vs. Dysport

Botox and Dysport are similar products that work using the same active ingredient but have varying formulas. Botox has been available in the U.S. for longer, and is, therefore, more widely known. Some patients may select one product over the other based on their personal preference, and your injector can help you choose the best option for you. On average, Dysport results tend to be more immediate, but Botox results tend to last slightly longer. Dysport also results in softer results than Botox, which for some makes it appear more natural for first-time patients. Finally, Dysport is FDA approved to treat glabellar lines but can be used off-label for other purposes. The effectiveness of Botox has been studied further, but most professionals find the two products to be similarly effective.
