FAQ
As a Practice, we feel that patients have a right to price transparency. As a result, our methods foster confidence with our patients and distinguish our organization by setting the standard for price transparency. Please see our fee schedule for each clinic separately under “plan your visit.” Our policies and fees are disclosed at the time of service for all self-pay patients, and we do not accept responsibility.
Mujtaba NP Clinics is a private company that is free to determine its own fees for each service it offers; we are not federally funded. If we accept your insurance, we will compensate you depending on our arrangements with the insurance provider.
Accepting most private insurances, Medicare, and Medicaid.
A Walk-In-Clinic provides high quality medical care for patients with minor illnesses and injuries that are not life threatening.
If you receive a bill for your lab test from a 3rd party, please reach out to the specific lab company billing department if you have any questions. Mujtaba NP does not handle the billing process when labs are sent to 3rd parties.
Yes, care can be refused. Providers working in private offices can and do refuse patients. However, hospitals that accept public funding are bound by a law called EMTALA. The Emergency Medical Treatment and Labor Act (EMTALA) mandates all emergency rooms to see and stabilize all patients, not private practices.
Unfortunately, yes. We understand that you believe care was not provided, however an evaluation requires resources (people, equipment) and a medical opinion which is a service. A service from the walk-in-clinic, is an evaluation that the problem was beyond our ability to deal with and needed higher level of resources. In some cases, the diagnoses takes seconds, in other cases they may perform a test or two before being able to determine.
You will be charged depending on the circumstance. Medical advice and time spent with a medical provider is not free.
No refund policy exists, since services rendered cannot be returned. If the Mujtaba NP owes you money due to an overpayment or credit balance, we will issue a refund after our Billing Department has verified it. Provided there are no other balances owed to Mujtaba NP.
Credit card on file (CCOF) is a rapidly growing trend in the healthcare industry. Its purpose is to guarantee payment for services rendered that may not be completely covered by insurance including services applied to a patient’s deductible.
We do not keep any credit card information on file in the centers, or any computers within. We use a secure, encrypted gateway site that is completely compliant as required by law.
We will always work with you to understand if there has been a mistake and we will refund your card if we have made a billing error.
